Selwyn Thomas Chalker was a veteran of the Spanish-American War and a prominent businessman. He owned a furniture store in Lake City, Florida and later car dealerships in Miami and Tampa.

1952 Plymouth Concord Savoy: This is an image of the model of the car that Selwyn drove when they lived in Orange Park. We (the grandchildren) remember a hole it the floor. It allowed us to watch the road go by as we rode in the back seat.

Selwyn Chalker was often called upon to be handyman and also built many furniture pieces with "found objects" like driftwood at his wife's request.
