Lallie attended school in Oklahoma and Mississippi and began her college career at Mississippi State College for Women and then received her degree from Florida State College for Women (later Florida State University). She studied piano since childhood and her degree was in Instruction. She was a piano student at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in Ohio. She was Director of the Music Department at Columbia College in Lake City, FL. for four years. She played in concerts in Boston and Jacksonville. Teaching piano was a lifetime career. She was active in church activities, singing in the choir.
Lallie was a charter member of the Garden Club of Orange Park, Florida and continued to be an active member for the rest of her life winning many awards for her arrangements. Her love of gardening led her to plant many varieties of plants and trees at her family home in Orange Park, Florida.
She worked at the Barnett Bank of Jacksonville, Florida as Secretary in the Trust Department.
